Experience
I have previous experience in tutoring middle schoolers. More recently I have worked with students ranging from the ages of 5 to 18 years old in environmental education and leadership development. I was in the United States Peace Corps in Ecuador for two years and recently returned to the area. I enjoyed my time working with children there teaching English as a second language, environmental education, and running a youth exercise club for girls. I would like to be a tutor to continue working with students to better their grades and self esteem.

Hobbies
I am from Chicago-land area where I went to Riverside-Brookfield High School. While there, I was involved in band, cross-country, basketball, water polo, student government, and ecology club. I attended Michigan State University, where I received my degree and was the captain of the club water polo team. Additionally, I was on the executive board of the Women's Initiative for Leadership and Development (WILD), a co-ed professional chemistry fraternity, and Slow Food. I was a student-athlete and became part of a scholars program which allowed me to go to Washington, D.C. after graduation. I then was accepted as a Natural Resources Conservation Volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps where I spent the past two years living and working on a variety of projects in the Andes and playing soccer or hanging out with my host brothers and cousins in my free time.
